Work at Height, Done Right

When the job requires working at height — whether it's a glass curtain wall sixty storeys up or a centuries-old listed façade — Totally Wild Access brings the skills, accreditation, and equipment to get it done safely and efficiently.

Traditional scaffolding is slow, expensive, and disruptive. Cherry pickers can't always reach. That's where rope access comes in — a method that lets highly trained technicians reach virtually any point on a structure quickly, with minimal equipment and zero compromise on safety. At Totally Wild Access, we've built our entire operation around this approach.

What we do

Our scope of work spans every major challenge building owners, contractors, and facilities managers face at height. Here's a look at what we cover:

Building inspections & remedials Cladding, brickwork, render, and slate roof surveys — plus full repairs on the same visit where possible. We handle everything from checking cladding installation and insulation to removing loose brickwork, re-pointing mortar, and repairing render.

LOLER examinations Our LEEA-accredited operatives carry out statutory inspections and issue formal reports for all lifting equipment covered by LOLER regulations — including abseil rails, man-safe systems, suspension systems, harnesses, and general rope access equipment.

Cleaning services Window cleaning using traditional blade and mop, jet washing, gutter clearing, guano removal, and general cleaning on elevations and roofs.

Heritage & listed buildings Specialist lime mortar repairs and sensitive inspections on graded and historical structures, carried out with the care these buildings demand.

Habitat installation Falcon perches, bird boxes, bat boxes, bird netting installation and removal — helping buildings coexist with their natural surroundings.

Fire aspiration systems Installation of fire aspiration pipework and components in hard-to-access internal and external areas at height.

Museum & exhibit cleaning Specialist cleaning of suspended exhibits — from vintage aircraft to large-scale installations — without disturbing the collection. We regularly work with major museums including RAF and Imperial War Museum sites.

Rescue cover Qualified on-site rescue cover for contractors working at height, keeping your project legally compliant and your people protected.

Anchor installation Installation of abseil anchors including bolts, rails, and man-safe systems to the required standards.

Leak investigations Roof and elevation leak investigations, including full remedial works once the source is identified.

Painting at height Painting of external and internal elevations — no job too high, no surface too complex.

Fully accredited, fully covered

"Every technician on every job is IRATA trained and assessed — the gold standard for industrial rope access worldwide."

Accreditation isn't a marketing checkbox for us — it's the foundation of how we operate. Every member of our team holds the qualifications needed for the work they carry out.

IRATA — All personnel are trained and assessed to IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) standards and follow the IRATA code of practice on every job, without exception.

LEEA — Our LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) accredited operatives carry out full LOLER inspections and issue statutory reports for all applicable lifting equipment.

IPAF — Where powered access platforms are used alongside rope access, our IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) trained team operates in full compliance with the IPAF code of practice.

First Aid — Every operative holds at minimum an Emergency First Aid qualification. Many hold higher-level certificates, and rescue planning is built into every project before work begins.

Who we work with

Our clients range from major national institutions to individual building owners. If you manage or own a structure that requires specialist work at height, we can help. We regularly work with:

  • Museums and cultural institutions with suspended exhibits

  • NHS and other public sector estates

  • Residential and commercial building owners and managers

  • Contractors requiring compliant working-at-height specialists

  • Owners and custodians of listed and graded heritage buildings

  • Office building owners and overseers

Covering the UK and Europe — wherever your building is, our team can mobilise. We work on projects of all scales, from a single inspection visit to long-term maintenance partnerships.

Why rope access?

Scaffolding takes days to erect and strike. Mobile platforms are bulky, costly, and often can't reach complex geometries. Rope access gets a team onto almost any face of a building the same day, with equipment that fits in a van. The result: faster mobilisation, lower cost, less disruption — and the same depth of work.

For leak investigations, pointing repairs, guano removal, anchor installations, or painting elevations, rope access is consistently the most practical solution. Our technicians are trained to carry out skilled trades work at height — not just to dangle safely.
